About this blog

Welcome to On the Tip of the Toes Foundation’s blog, online since February 2007. This blog’s purpose is to be a space for exchange between the teenagers, the Foundation and about anyone who is interested in adventure therapy.

A brief story of the Foundation

In 1996, an oncologist, a university teacher and a national park director united to bring young cancer patients as far as possible from the hospital as possible. After an initial success, more expeditions follow and the rest is history: On the Tip of the Toes is born.

Since, over 150 kids have participated in over 16 adventures in Canada’s North. In kayaks, on dog slegdes, on bush airplanes, on rafts, skidoos replaced hospital beds.
